Moods (2)
Dear All,
More than a month since I wrote last something in here, but, I keep busy writing and refining the chapters of my half-written new novel, the R.
Truly, I know my blog is suffering from writing restraints, but then, there are so many hours in a day and free time is divided to all important and necessary tasks, which includes the follow up of interesting topics and stories in the media, not to neglect reading other people’s books. Besides, till now I have had no queries or comments on the monthly, and not only, texts in my blog to respond to, so I tend to think very few people, if any, skim around and on my site!
As writers know, frequent writing helps new thoughts and plots to pop out, which are likely to get ripe later on, and mostly during sleep when the inner self works in the unconscious self to create and combine new and old concepts and images. But this mechanism seems to be the same as that from reading books; the mind enhances combinations of new perspectives and visions, provided by the writer’s narratives, scenes and designs. That is why it is advisable for writers to read widely and a lot, of both real and imaginary events.
Spring is here now and this helps to imagine and fix ideas around to ‘what ifs’ and to ‘where is’ regarding the settings and the behavior of my characters. Yet the daily habit of writing is sometimes disrupted as the gifts of the brilliant sun touches upon the whole world, Nature and Life alike. Then, I sit at my balcony and revere the calm sea and the blue skies. I see my rose plant blooming like crazy and I cannot wait for the buds to open and spread their fine aromas around, mingling them with the smells of the numerous basil planted in my pots against the likely arrival of mosquitoes. And I dream the best dreams ever, forgetting the awaiting computer on my desk.
Well, Hi all, it’s time I fight laziness and love myself a bit more than I usually do.
