Cynically, though, I\u2019d say, wishes of such general aspirations, and despite being popular and common ground for moral and optimism, are just that: wishes; empty, coded expressions that are customary exchanged between people to mark the shift of self-maturing into a new year. \u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
Yet, the meaning of something means that we are doing something to bring about this something.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
In particular, when the New Year is showing its ugly teeth right from the start, in natural calamities’ exorbitant costs; -Australia\u2019s devastating fire-storms are raging for weeks now, with no mercy to nature, to the wild life and to the humans alike; and this is just an example of nature\u2019s increasing display of revenge. The planet seems revolting; its man-made sickness is changing the climate and spirals instability and chaos that claim life rather than preserve peace or prosperity<\/em>. And we need to do something about it fast.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n 2020 is now the Year calling for the implementation of intelligent and perhaps costly solutions to mitigate the harms of climate changes that our civilization has helped to shape.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n Greta Thunberg is showing us the way.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n Some thoughts<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n I haven\u2019t written in this blog, my blog, for some months now, given that my primary focus is to finish the first draft of my second novel which, by the way, is taking longer than I\u00a0 have originally planned it to be.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n Funny, isn\u2019t it? I pay for this site an annual fee, and I should try and take into my advantage the page to expand my friends and my thought-contributors to three or four digit numbers. Of course I understand that my posts might be boring to many: I sell nothing; I don\u2019t offer information about anything, nor advertise products or services. I just write about some of my own humble experiences when I have time to spare and inkling to expand. And, this makes me wonder, why should I suppose my ordinary life\u2019s incidents, thoughts or preferences, and perhaps my own seasonal moods are of any interest to others? They are not and why should they be?<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n So, Time is precious, and I suppose for most people is the same, and better spending elsewhere than posting short points of mind which, unless they carry something important to prove, can be left aside for the moment.
