Nor do I perceive many people reading my blog, or receive any comments on whatsoever I’ve been writing, which, in fact, is a bit disappointing. Yet, I’ve got the feeling that it is visited by a few ‘anonymous’ readers, just to check on what I’m up to lately!

Is there a problem with my visibility, as my sister says? Yes it is, but not that it matters much to me, at least, despite her concerns. But, a few paragraphs from my ‘precious’ diary notes, exposing somewhat my mood and my spirits of late, which admittedly are not as great as they ought to be, would inform the clandestine visitor of my occupational pursuits. Still,

I use my spare time on plotting/writing my second novel, -should I say my third? The second one is temporarily half-abandoned for the sake of this one, -a story about a couple escaping an urbane, complex society for the simple ways of an archaic community, on which I was inspired from my latest reading of a science-fiction story.

Frequently, I would also query/submit to an agent about my first novel: the tragic story of Katarina, which is a contemporary Love-Drama piece – Fiction. So,

…my Diary notes of 9 March 2019

“I am just tired and disappointed and somewhat sad; I heard nothing from an agent yet, but friends say to me ‘just keep on writing whatever; never be despaired; never stop waiting for good news; never give up hope, never…’ Never; in this sense, the word ‘never’ has a positive meaning that ought to uplift my spirit and keep me on searching for the right person to promote publication of my first novel, the ‘SHARING HER APPLES’.

For it is a good novel, and not only because and why I believe it to be so.

Perhaps the story’s settings reminds bad times and wicked did-s that would be occurring in most, if not all, arm conflicts. And, when the Balkan war in the nineteens is mentioned, some might become itchy about the theme, or they feel it might flare up enmities; or, simply, that it’d be easier to sell well of some other, of a lighter contents book to readers. After all, my entire story is not a chronicle or a documentary; nor it is based on a personal testimony, to attract the ‘sympathetic’ attention of the media.

But, it is all fabricated; it is a figment of my imagination, of which I got plenty. The overall plot and sub-plots, which tell the tragic story of a young woman, Katarina, damaged from abuse and cruelty, is purely a work of fiction; the same are the places and the characters, and this means that the plausibility of the plots can be placed in both real and imaginary worlds.

The story illustrates the crescendos of love and hatred, love and revenge, love and sacrifice; and, love and painful memories. As it struggles to delve into the depths of a hurt soul, it shows the difficulties to control the damage done to it. Sure, seeking to avenge your sufferings, as the story maintains, seems an awful plan to the detached outsiders that consider themselves as being Christian and ‘civilized’. Yet, both revenge and forgiveness are two sides of the same coin and it may become very painful to select either path to follow. For, some things seem as impossible to forget, or pass them over, as life itself, before they are dealt with inside the mind and heart.

Katarina chooses the former, which is revenge. First though, she grants the care of her child to Helen; it is an act of love in the circumstances that promises a loving, decent upbringing to her little girl, which she is aware she cannot provide it for her.

On the other hand, Helen is grateful for Katie’s gift, as little Annie restores the purpose into her own existence and offers her a way to apply her maternal caring. It is another act of love and goodness leading to joyful life.

And, as life goes on, hope never breaks down when love is present; and so, I wish to see my novel published.

Sure, I can wait for that to happen. In the meantime I am writing my second novel, which, normally, should be finished by end April 2019. Then editing and seeking an agent….

And, LOL, I love my self.”

Hi to All; especially to those who visit me, whoever they may be.
